Computer Chess

What is common to many great persons in history? They play chess... that royal game. While it's just a game, it mirrors the battles of life. If you still don't play the game, it's never late to learn and enjoy. In Linux (it will be the default chess GUI in the upcoming Ubuntu upgrade -- Feisty Fawn), get glChess if you still don't know which to choose among many. Go to its website. You can then download any chess engine you like, as long as they follow the standard protocols. The following is a screen shot of the game.

In Windows a good Chess GUI is called Arena if you're still looking for one. It's free! It's better to go to its website and choose the stable release, which is version 1.1.

Enjoy your game!
