From The Letter of Paul to the Colossians (RSVCE), I excerpt the following verses... "See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philisophy (sound Philosophy deals with the search for the truth) and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ (2.8)... Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer to every one" (4.6). St. James said that "no human being can tame the tongue -- a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God... My brethren, this ought not to be so" (James 3.8-10). The written word has a more lasting power than the "spoken" word. And as mentioned, the bible is so powerful; it's often refered to as the Eternal Word. Happy blogging!

This is one reason why Journalism (as a discipline) should be manned by people of honesty and integrity. As informal writers (bloggers are sometimes termed this), we are also responsible for what we post. All of us have this problem, and it's up to us to tame it.
