On this
silent and
blessed night of
Christmas, while surfing the different blogs, I used
Blogger's search service and typed
Catholic in the bar; several blogs sprung up, sadly including some sites which are anti-Catholic, and aggravated by who the perpetrators were--others Christians! Then I typed or added another word,
Catechism, and more sites emerged. I was fascinated to find a whole universe of writers out there--I'm not alone. Someone out there will read my blogs and, I realized that those who read my thoughts are not only my relatives or friends... And then I put my name (nickname and surname) in the search bar, and lo, my blogsite entries sprouted like mushrooms. One way to find people is use Blogger's search bar (seen at the top most portion of all blogs). But what's my point here? Well, there're lots of different points of view around us and we just have to respect each other's opinions. Observe children (not their childish behaviors) and see that they don't mind the opinions of others; they continue to play with each other. Maybe that's the reason why God chose to come to earth as a helpless baby--to show us humility. Can you imagine that? The Creator becoming a baby? This concept is called the
Incarnation of the Son of God, taking up sinful flesh so as to save us. I end this blog by quoting St. John's Gospel (1.14):
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father."
Merry Christmas to all!
